In most industries the goal is to have the product or service delivered just in time. Meaning right when it’s needed, however the Fashion industry is the only if not one of the only industry’s that operates six to eight months ahead of schedule. So what does that mean it means that we get Spring/Summer styles in the Fall and Fall/Winter styles in the Spring. For a fashionista that’s a dream come true because you can always stay ahead of the looks and trends for the upcoming season, even if that means that you still haven’t been able to wear that new winter coat yet while looking for flirty Maxi dresses. But here’s the thing I bet that you didn’t know that we not only rely on the runway shows to tell us what’s hot for the next season with clothes but also with makeup and hair trends as well. And well you’re a savvy blog reader so you know that my blog is about the backstage stuff that happens and well hair and make-up happens backstage. Just makes sense that I would do a post about the looks coming off the runway for Spring/Summer 2011.
Below are looks created for designers collections from New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2011. If you notice that the trend seems to be a coloured eye, pale cheek and nude lip. This look was pervasive on the runways during NYFW and was used in different variations. From Victoria Beckhams models who had a bright and bold purple eye to the models at BCBG MAXAZRIA who had a very nude eye the focus this spring is on those pretty peepers!
